General regulations and fishing rules
Under the applicable rules a personal permit for angling is obtained by purchasing a fishing licence. The fishing licence is non-transferable and must always be carried when fishing. The fishing licence shall be presented to fisheries protection staff upon request. If you fish without a valid fishing licence, you will be subject to a fine of SEK 1 000 – 2000. You must always follow instructions given by fishery protection staff. Those who break the rules or otherwise act in a disruptive manner may be banned from fishing in Stora Hammarsjön Fishery Conservation Area. These rules may be changed or supplemented during the current season. Any changes will be published on the information boards. Those who purchase a fishing licence purchaser must keep themsel- ves informed about the applicable fishing regulations.
Lakes containing rainbow trout
Fishing may only be conducted using a rod. Only three fish may be caught per licence per day.
Permitted fishing methods
Alegöl: Fly fishing only. Fly fishing refers to fishing using a fly rod, fly reel, fly line, leader and flies.
In other lakes containing rainbow trout: Fly fishing, spinning, jigging, and float fishing. Specific rules can be found in the fact sheet. Please note down your catches in the folder. This helps us to maintain good fish stocks in the lakes through restocking. Fish offal may not be thrown in the water or on disposed of along the shoreline.
If you fish without a valid fishing licence, you will be subject to a fine of SEK 1 500 .
Lakes containing pike and perch
Float fishing, legering, jigging, spinning, ice fishing and fly fishing are permitted. Specific rules can be found in the fact sheet. Boats may only be rented from SFK Kroken or vendors that sell fishing licences. You may also use your own boat if you purchase an annual licence (calendar year) via www.sfk- kroken.nu. Specific rules can be found in the fact sheet.
If you fish without a valid fishing licens, you will subject to a fine of SEK 1.000.
Carp fishing: specific rules can be found in the fact sheet. If you fish withour a valid fishing license in Färgsjön, you will subject to a fine of SEK 2.000.
Other regulations: Holding a fishing licence do not entitle you to fish in running water. Running water is the spawning ground of salmonids. Waterskiing and jetski is prohibited on the lakes within Stora Hammarsjön Fishery Conservation Area.
